Who we are
Dawalekh (“we”, “us”) is an online service operated by Dawalekh that helps medical stores and clinics in India track medicine stock, expiry dates and patient refill reminders.

Information we collect
- Account details: store name, owner name, mobile number, email address (optional) and city.
- Password: stored only as a secure one-way hash. We cannot see your password.
- Store data you add: medicine names, batch numbers, expiry dates, quantities, prices, supplier names, and the names, mobile numbers and medicines of patients you add for refill reminders.
- Payment records: the plan, amount, date and Razorpay payment reference. Card, UPI and bank details are collected and processed by Razorpay, not by us.
- Messages you send us through the contact form.
- Technical data: basic server logs (such as IP address and time of request) kept for security and to fix errors.
How we use your information
- To create and run your account and show your stock, alerts and reminders.
- To process payments and keep billing records.
- To reply to your questions and send important service messages.
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
We do not sell your data, rent it, or use it for advertising.
Patient information
When you add a patient for refill reminders, you are responsible for having the patient's permission to store their name and number and to contact them. Reminders are sent by you from your own WhatsApp; Dawalekh does not message patients.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers needed to run Dawalekh: our cloud hosting and database providers, and Razorpay for payments. They may use the data only to provide their service to us. We may also share information if required by law.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored with reputable cloud providers and protected with HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will inform you of any serious breach that affects you.
How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account exists. After your plan ends, we keep your data for at least 90 days so you can continue later. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time; billing records may be kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can view and correct your details in the app, download your stock data, and ask us to delete your account. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may also ask what personal data we hold about you. Contact us through the Contact page for any request.
Children
Dawalekh is meant for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make important changes, we will show a notice on the website or in the app.
